[The First in Hong Kong to organize ISO / TC130 International Meeting]

This is the first time that the ISO/TC130 International Meeting takes place in Hong Kong, which is hosted by the Hong Kong Printers Association (HKPA) and a group of industry-friendly organizations.  It is fully supporting by Advanced Printing Technology Centre (APTEC) and Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI).

A five-day meeting will be held at Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) from today. More than 60 overseas experts from around the world came to participate.

In order to welcome experts from all over the world to attend this ISO/TC130 International Meeting, welcome dinner will be held on May 29, 2019 at the Hong Kong Chinese Cuisine Institute. The Hong Kong Printers Association (HKPA) will host the dinner; Advanced Printing Technology Centre (APTEC) and Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) put in effort to execute. We are pleased to invite Ms. Chan Pui Kwan (Karina), a first-year student of the Higher Diploma in Publication Design and Print Media at Hong Kong Design Institute to be the emcee of dinner.

At the beginning of the dinner, Mr. Leung Siu Yin (Jackson), Chairman of the Hong Kong Printers Association (HKPA), was invited to give a welcome speech; Mr. Steve Smiley, Acting Chairman of ISO/TC130, and Mrs. Carrie Yau, GBS, JP (Executive Director, Vocational Training Council) have presented thank you speeches. The other guests who attended the welcome dinner included: Mr. Victor Tsang (Head, Create Hong Kong), Mr. Percy Fung (Chairman, Supervisory Committee, The Hong Kong Printers Association), Mr. Ho Kar Hun (Life Honorary President, The Hong Kong Printers Association), Mr. Chiu Kwok Chu (Life Honorary President, The Hong Kong Printers Association), and a group of friends from the industry came to support, it was full of splendid and lively.

In addition, the dinner has invited Ms. Shen Yu Yan (a first-year student of the Higher Diploma in Digital Music and Media at the Hong Kong Design Institute) to bring a wonderful guzheng performance to the dinner, which left a deep impression to the guests.

After a week of intensive meetings, the social event on June 1(Sat) has come to us. We organized a tour to visit Po Lin Monastery at Lantau Island, Ngong Ping Market, Tian Tan Buddha, Tai O Fishing Village and other places to experience about the water town of Hong Kong. All day activities were carried out on a sunny day. Everyone was sweating and have wonderful day.
